In 2010, RAG, in partnership with the Archives and Records Assocation (UK and Ireland and The National Archives, undertook a survey of religious archives in the United Kingdom aided by a grant from The Pilgrim Trust.
This was the first ever comprehensive survey of religious archives in the UK
The survey report and appendices can be downloaded from The National Archives website. This includes translations of the executive summary into Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Welsh.
Religious Archives Survey Report
The report was launched at London Metropolitan Archives on 24 November 2010 in the presence of the Rt. Rev. Richard Chartres, Bishop of London, John Chambers of the Archives and Records Association, and Oliver Morley of The National Archives among others. Pictures of the event can be seen here
In April 2011, TNA hosted a consultative meeting in collaboration with RAG to discuss the findings and recommendations of the survey. Further information, including papers from the meeting, is available here
