Governance

Since 1989, the Religious Archives Group had existed on a relatively informal basis as a body affiliated to the Section for Specialist Repositories of the Archives and Records Association. During the development of the Religious Archives Support Plan, it became clear that a more formal structure ought to be implemented.

In February 2013, RAG was recognised by HMRC as a charitable company. RAG’s affairs are now conducted in accordance with our constitution, adopted on 4 October 2012 and our committee are now trustees or observers in accordance with this.

We are always happy to hear from any members who might like to take an active role in RAG’s governance. Trustees are elected annually at the AGM but do get in touch at any time if this is something that might interest you.

Please use the information on the 'Contact Us' page if you would like to get in touch with the RAG committee or webmaster. Comments here are not regularly checked.
