METHODIST CHURCH OF GREAT BRITAIN
The Methodist Archives include those of the three main Methodist connexions that united in 1932: the Wesleyan Methodists, Primitive Methodists and United Methodists (united as a result of an earlier union between the Methodist New Connexion, Bible Christians and United Methodist Free Churches). There are also significant holdings at Duke University and Southern Methodist University in the USA.
For a study of sources see Clive Field, ‘Preserving Zion: the anatomy of Protestant Nonconformist Archives in Great Britain and Ireland’, Archives, vol. 33, no. 118, April 2008, pp. 14-51.
