Conference 2020

In the light of the current health emergency, the RAG committee has decided that it must postpone the Group’s conference and Annual General Meeting scheduled for 4th May in Manchester. We will try to arrange another date in the autumn when the situation has stabilised. Our Treasurer will refund any payments made by those who have already booked. Please get in touch with her.

Booking is now open for our 2020 conference on the theme of Religion and Art on Monday 4th May at Luther King House, Manchester.

Further details are available here

Please return your booking form by 24th April 2020 to be sure of a place.

Guidance for Religious Communities

18/06/20: This has now been updated to version 6. Please take a look

RAG has now published new guidance on the care of the archives of religious communities, available to download here

This focuses on the historic records of Christian religious communities within the UK, though much of the advice will also be relevant to communities within other faiths. It is aimed at community members or staff without professional training who may be assigned responsibility for archives, and encourages good stewardship in preserving these historic records for the future
